Eco-design is gaining momentum. Design in the style of Eco.

Currently, more and more popularity in the design of premises is gaining direction in eco-design. This happens because people get tired of the hustle and bustle of big cities, they have to work hard and do not have enough time to rest, let alone trips outside the city to relax and connect with nature.

Ecological design or eco-design is the embodiment of man's natural desire to maximally approximate his habitat, his house (and more recently, the office) to natural conditions.

Eco-design was actively talked about at the end of the twentieth century. Of course, nature has been treated before, in other styles. For example, in modern, the natural theme was brightly reflected, but unlike eco-design, modernity relied more on the classical style. Ecological design is more modern, it has technology and electronics, which is not natural.

The origins of eco-design should be sought in Scandinavia, which combined natural materials with an innovative form, as well as in Japan, which traditionally uses natural themes.

Today, eco-design can also include:

- Phyto design (use in the interior of a large number of colors);
- Psycho design (the design reflects a certain psychological portrait of an individual);
- Feng Shui.

Eco-style itself gives a great freedom for creativity - there are no clear rules and boundaries in it. The main thing is to use natural materials and fabrics, there was a lot of light, space and plants.

Speaking of tones, it is white, beige, brown, green and light blue, materials - wood, glass, clay and stone, fabrics - only natural. The only condition is not to overload the space and not to use the same materials and colors in everything.

Today, when planning an office, employers try to use all these techniques and styles to create the most comfortable conditions for employees. In eco-style, not only classrooms and work space are being equipped, but also chill outs and even bargaining.

Environmental design has quickly won the attention of people in the world due to its positive energy and that it promotes relaxation, pays attention to health and the correctness of life.

In the United States and Europe, ecologically clean materials have been used for a long time already in construction and invent new, easily applicable ways of extracting energy (solar batteries, wind power plants, etc.). For them, eco-design, first of all, is the ecological utilization of waste.

One of the most vivid examples of the use of eco-design in the interior was presented by the Joel Sanders Architect project office in collaboration with Balmori Associates. Located in New York in the heart of Manhattan, it is a city garden with a rooftop terrace decorated with a grass carpet and trees.

On the first floor of the penthouse there is a living area with a living room, a kitchen, a dining room and a bedroom. There is no division into rooms - all zones are united in a single space. On the roof with a garden leads a ladder, around which planted natural plants.

According to the developers, the vegetation used in creating the interior of the dwelling, as well as the ecological palette of synthetic and natural materials, cross all the apartment spaces and the roof boundary, erasing the traditional differences between internal and external, natural and artificial.

When creating the interior designers used recycled walnut wood, which contrasts with the white walls and elements of the industrial space and brings warmth and comfort to the atmosphere.

Russia is still at the very beginning of this long journey. If we consider the market of services offered, it is still at the stage of formation. Moscow has the widest range of services related to eco-design. In St. Petersburg, this market is almost not mastered, what can we say about other cities in our vast homeland. The truth is worth noting that the environmental business activities of St. Petersburg companies are more focused on production enterprises and is associated with environmental certification and documentation.

Demand for environmental services in the Russian market is difficult to estimate due to the large number of destinations.

The only problem, why in our country eco-design is not gaining popularity as quickly as in Europe, is the high cost of natural materials. Furniture made of natural wood costs an order of magnitude more, even without taking into account the fact that the eco-style preference is given to furniture from the array. True, eco-style fabrics have never been classified as "rich."

Everything is simple and with decor objects: glass vases, clay, fresh flowers, wicker baskets, chests, tree branches, straw objects. The main thing is that every object in the interior must be harmonious and connected with nature.

In conclusion, I would like to say that eco-design in the interior is perfect for people who feel responsible for the environment in which they live, or for those who are simply tired of the noise of a big city and want to plunge into an atmosphere of tranquility and coziness.
